Production

Through Iren Energia, the Group produces electricity with 26 hydroeletric plants and 9 thermoelectric plants, of which 8 operate in cogeneration mode.

The total installed output is approximately 2.800 electrical MW and 2.400 thermal MW, with a total production of 9000 GWh a year of electricity, of which 900 MW in cogeneration mode.

In addition, the Group has other types of plants: 3 waste-to-energy plants and several photovoltaic plants.

HYDROELECTRIC PLANTS

Hydroelctric power plants, situated in the Province of Turin (Valle Orco, Val di Susa, San Mauro and Moncalieri) and in the provinces of Salerno and Avellino (Tusciano Power Centre), have a total installed capacity of about 600 MW.
