Talent, skills and people: our virtuous circle

Two important recognitions confirm the Iren Group's commitment to its people, its employees: the Top Employer certification and the inclusion in the Bloomberg Gender-Equality Index.

Top Employers is the official recognition of the company's excellence in HR policies and strategies and their implementation to contribute to people's well-being, improve the work environment and the world of work: this is the fourth consecutive year that Iren has obtained the certification. A recognition that shows how, in a year affected by the ongoing health emergency, the Group has been able to react positively to the changed scenarios and accelerate the process of digitalisation in the HR sector, focusing on empowerment and trust in its people.

And it was specifically the attention demonstrated to the needs of all that allowed the Group to be included in the Bloomberg Gender-Equality Index (GEI) 2021 for the first time. The GEI provides transparency into the gender equality practices and policies implemented by listed companies, thereby deepening and broadening the environmental, social and governance (ESG) data available to investors and the financial community.

The index measures gender equality based on five pillars: female leadership and talent pipeline, equal pay and gender pay equity, inclusive culture, anti-harassment policies and advocacy in support of women. The inclusion in the Bloomberg index, in the case of Iren, reflects a high level of transparency and overall performance based on the five pillars of the framework.

In particular, Iren's diversity policies have been directed towards non-discrimination in the selection phase, enhanced attention paid to skills and the drive towards the promotion of female managers. Iren has also invested in training plans through specific programmes to increase the level of awareness on issues related to diversity and to create an inclusive working environment.
